Monologue

Monologue cocktail icon

Flavor Profile: Citrus-forward, bold, herbal, smooth

Monologue is an adventurous equal parts riff built on bold contrasts. Inspired by the classic Last Word, this cocktail swaps in Jägermeister for Chartreuse and blood orange liqueur for Maraschino, creating something deeper, darker, and entirely new.

The result is a drink with a striking citrus base, rounded out by herbal complexity and subtle spice. Don’t let the Jäger scare you — in this format, it becomes refined and layered. Monologue is a cocktail that speaks volumes with just four ingredients.

Monologue

Why have the last word when you can have a whole monologue? This fun and unexpected equal-parts riff follows the classic Last Word template — but swaps in bold, modern flavors: rum, blood orange liqueur, Jägermeister, and lemon. Surprisingly balanced and citrus-forward, it’s a great choice for adventurous drinkers or anyone who loves a good remix on a classic.
