Lorikeet
A modern Jungle Bird riff from Shannon Mustipher that channels the spirit of a Mint Julep with a tropical twist. Rye, banana, and pineapple come together in a rich, herbaceous bird of paradise.

- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 0.5 oz Banana Liqueur
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.25 oz Cinnamon Syrup
- 6 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- 4 dashes Angostura Bitters
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
Shake well and strain into a Collins glass.
Top with crushed ice.
Garnish with pineapple fronds and (optionally) a Jungle Bird pin.
This tropical sipper replaces rum and Campari with rye and banana liqueur — a clever, deeply flavorful twist on the original.
