Paper Plane
The Paper Plane is a modern classic created by Sam Ross (of Attaboy and Milk & Honey fame) in 2008. Inspired by the M.I.A. song of the same name, it was originally made for the opening of The Violet Hour in Chicago — and quickly took off.
This equal parts cocktail balances the warmth of bourbon with the bitter pop of Aperol, the herbal depth of Amaro Nonino, and the brightness of fresh lemon. Refreshing yet complex, it’s one of the most reliable crowd-pleasers around — a go-to for bartenders and enthusiasts alike.
