Lorikeet

Lorikeet cocktail icon

Flavor Profile: Spiced, tropical, whiskey-forward, bright

Lorikeet is a modern, whiskey-forward riff on the Jungle Bird, created by Shannon Mustipher and featured in her book TIKI. It’s a tropical-meets-Southern hybrid that replaces rum with rye and swaps out Campari for banana liqueur — a nod to both the Jungle Bird and Mint Julep traditions.

The result is bold and flavorful: pineapple and lemon bring brightness, while cinnamon and bitters add depth and spice. The banana liqueur rounds it all out with a hint of lush tropical sweetness.
